Ordering the wrong forks can be a frustrating experience. Let's make sure this doesn't happen to you!
What is ITA and what do the classes mean?
Selecting the correct forklift forks is essential for ensuring compatibility and safety. The Industrial Truck Association (ITA) categorizes forklift forks into various classes based on their dimensions and load capacities. This guide will help you accurately measure ITA Class 2, 3, and 4 forks and provide key information needed when ordering them.
How to find your forklift's carriage class:

Step #1: Find your forklift's carriage. The Carriage is located on the front of your forklift and hold the forklift forks.
Step #2: Measure the distance between the Top Carriage Bar and the Bottom Carriage Bar. This measurement will determine your ITA Fork Class.
ITA Class 2 Forks:

The distance measures 16 inches.
Capacity: 2,000 lb. - 5,500 lb.
ITA Class 3 Forks:
The distance measures 20 inches.
Capacity: 5,500 lb. - 11,000 lb.
ITA Class 4 Forks:
The distance measures 25 inches.
Capacity: 11,000 lb. - 17,500 lb.

Step #3: Find your Forklift's Manufacturer Data Tag and look for your forklift's MAX CAPACITY. The capacity listed will confirm the capacity needed for your forklift.
